WDW Jan w/ 2 girls 2&6. Have the DDP but no park hopper option. My ? is, the AK closes so early. I am wondering what your suggs for a sit down supper on that day. Maybe down town or another resort. Already planning Chef Mickey and 1900.

    Hi Kris,

There are a number of fantastic dining locations to choose from outside of the Disney parks.

Our family loves Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. This all you can eat clam bake buffet has plenty of salads, vegetables, carved meats and desserts to please everyone and the location is great. After dinner you can stroll the Epcot resort area and head over to the Boardwalk to enjoy some of the free nightly entertainment. If you stay late enough, you will even be able to catch a portion of Illuminations on the bridge between the Beach Club and Boardwalk

Another great choice is 'Ohana at the Polynesian Resort. Dinner is an all you can eat family style meal of chicken, pork and beef, vegetables, salads, and potatoes. The evening meal includes Polynesian singers with some fun activities for the kids like hula-hoops and coconut rolling.

Since it sounds like you are planning a day at Animal kingdom, another great choice would be to head over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner at one of their three amazing restaraunt. Boma is a large open location offering a buffet selection of foods from numerous African countries. Jiko is a quiet, sophisticated restaraunt that offers menu selections of familiar food with a touch of African flair (the filet with mac-n-cheese is incredible), as well as a large wine list for your enjoyment. Sanaa the newest restaraunt just recently opened and offers a chance to dine, on delicious menu options, with an up close view of the animals.

Wow-my mouth is watering! If you are headed to Downtown Disney, my boys current favorite is T-Rex. This restaraunt has a very large menu with everything to salads, burgers and ribs. Guests dine amongst the dinosaurs in some really cool themed rooms. The highlight here is the meteor shower that comes through. Awesome, as my seven year old says!

Remember to make your reservations in advance at 407-939-3463 as these locations are very popular. Enjoy!
