Hi Wendy!   How exciting that you will be visiting the "Happiest Place on Earth" on your daughter's birthday! I think Walt Disney World is the perfect place for a birthday celebration!  Be sure to pick up a birthday celebration button for your daughter at any theme park Guest Relations. Your daughter will love receiving special birthday wishes throughout the day by cast members and other guests!  Although I have personally stayed at Disney's Pop Century Resort in the past and thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, I would recommend Disney's Art of Animation Resort for your daughter's birthday trip.  I got a sneak peek tour of Disney Art of Animation Resort in April before its official opening and absolutely loved the immersive storybook theming and attention to detail at every turn! Although Disney's Art of Animation Resort does feature family suites in three sections, guests can book standard guest rooms in The Little Mermaid Section, which will be opening in September. Both of these Disney Value Resorts have their own dedicated bus line (do not share with any other resorts) and offer unique whimsical theming. Landscape of Flavors is a colorful quick-service dining location with five distinctive food shops at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Your daughter will love the Big Blue Pool located in the Finding Nemo Courtyard.  I know my children ranging in age from seven to fourteen cannot wait to experience DIsney's newest resort after looking at my photo album from April. I hope this information helps in making your decision.  Please feel free to write me back if you would like any additional information regarding these two resorts or your Walt DIsney World Vacation. Best wishes for a Magical January Trip and please tell your daughter "Happy Birthday" from the Mom's Panel, Wendy!
    Happy Celebrating,
