WDW Incredi-pass ?s…how far in advance of my 2025 vacation should I purchase the Incrdi-pass? If it expires 1year from you 1st use of the pass to enter a park? Are you able to use the annual pass room discount, merchandise before that 1st park visit?

Hi Stephanie, welcome back to planDisney!

I love being a Disney Annual Passholder! When I first purchased my Annual Pass for Walt Disney World, I received a certificate in the mail.  I had to bring that certificate, along with a valid photo ID to a Walt Disney World theme park ticket window or Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs for redemption to the actual Annual Pass.  The process was quick and easy and your Annual Pass will be active for one year once you enter a theme park.

In the meantime, your Disney profile should recognize you as an Annual Passholder when you log in to your Disney account.  I was able to make a Disney Resort Hotel reservation once I had my Annual Pass certificate.  However, you will need to show the actual Annual Pass upon check-in to your Resort Hotel to qualify for the discount so you'll want to activate your annual pass before you check-in at the front desk.

I would also like to mention, as an Annual Passholder, I am not always able to get a discount on my Resort Hotel.  Rooms are limited so you'll want to keep an eye on special offers available to Annual Passholders.  You will be able to use your Annual Pass for available dining and merchandise discounts once you receive your actual Annual Pass.

I hope you find this information helpful, Stephanie!  Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as you wait for your 2025 vacation to arrive. It's a great resource as you plan your most magical Walt Disney World vacation!
