    HI! Going to WDW 12/10 with husband and daughter(5). Very eager to start planning--except the week of events isnt out. I already have restaurants picked out. Staying 12/5-12/11. What is there for me to plan this early in advance?!? Thanks so much!!

    Jalyn,

    While I love to wait for the schedules to come out before planning my days, it is not 100% essential. The real plus is that you can get the Extra Magic Hours. That way, in the busier seasons of the year, you can make sure to not visit parks that are hosting morning Extra Magic Hours, which really packs the crowds in. But at a time of year like the one when you are visiting, when it is very light, you can actually go TO those parks with the morning Extra Magic Hours, to get a bit more time there.

    But they are not the end-all, be-all of a successful vacation. What I would do, if I were you, is this;

    • Plan out the individual days that you want in each park, and for each day what you want to do from a meal perspective.
    • When the schedule calendars come out, figure out where each of the days fall in your plan, so that you can get some extra hours in.
    • Then call for your ADRs, making sure that you do so on the earliest possible day.
    I hope that this helps. I am glad to answer any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
