We are going to WDW for our first visit with our 9 year old. We are wondering if we should stay at a resort on the monorail line. We are booked at the Caribbean Beach, but considering changing our location to a resort on the monorail. Your thoughts?

    Hi Christine!

Staying on the monorail line is a really wonderful option. You'll be able to get to the parks quickly and easily go back to your room midday for a rest. At Disney, time is important to manage well so you can ensure to see as much as possible.

Also since you have a 9- yea old, you guys will probably enjoy visiting Magic Kingdom frequently, which is directly on the monorail line. It can be one of the more timely parks to visit at other resorts because you have to take the bus and the monorail to get in.

The resorts on the monorail line are deluxe, so they do cost a bit more than the moderate resorts, which is the category of Caribbean Beach. If you can budget for the deluxe resort, I highly recommend it.

Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.

    Magically,
    Stacy
