We are going to WDW for the first time in Oct. I have a 9yr old son, but we are traveling with 4 other little girls. What are some things more for boys to do while the girls are all doing "princess-y" stuff.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ursula!

I am thrilled to hear your family will be visiting Walt Disney World for the very first time this fall!  I am excited for you to experience all the magic and make amazing memories.  Now more than ever it is a perfect time to visit the parks.

When my family visits, I too have to find balance between the interests of my son and my daughter.  Planning ahead has helped me successfully make a great vacation for both.

One thing that my son has enjoyed doing in the parks is The Pirates League located in Magic Kingdom Park.  An additional fee is required to participate, but the experience is a great value.  We like to follow it up with a ride on Pirates of the Caribbean!

Another favorite on my son's must do list is Test Track in Epcot.  The ride itself is thrilling.  After the ride, there is an entire experience including the opportunity to pose for pictures with sports cars!  You can still check out the post-ride activities without riding Test Track by entering through the store to the right of the ride entrance.

The number one thing my son LOVES to do at Walt Disney World is the Jedi Training Academy at Hollywood Studios.  This incredible opportunity allows your children to transform into Jedi Knights and learn how to use the force!  You must arrive early at Hollywood Studios and register to participate as demand for this experience is very high.
