Will be in WDW in February 2020 with my grandkids, ages 8 and 11. We know that the 11 year old is considered an adult for ticketing and meals/shows. She is not a big eater, will she be able to order from the children's menu?

Hi Sandra!  Thank you for bringing another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I'm glad to hear you are already thinking about your February Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  What lucky grandkids you have!

I have a couple of picky and/or light eaters in my family as well.  In fact, my 18 year old would much prefer to order chicken tenders from the kid's menu than anything on the adult menu.  Even though the menus usually state: "Kids' menu items for children ages 9 and younger", we have never had a problem ordering selections from the kid's menu, even though my kids are clearly much older than that.

I personally often don't have much of an appetite at meal time when vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort.  I sometimes blame it on the heat, but in reality the likely cause is all the yummy Walt Disney World snacks I've been indulging in!  I ordered a kid's meal for myself when I dined at Be Our Guest recently for lunch.  It was the perfect amount of food for me, and it was really good!

Sandra, please visit the Moms Panel again any time with any additional questions you may have.  We are always happy to help.

    Enjoy your vacation!
