We will be in WDW Feb 2012 and are staying at POFQ for the first time. What is the best building in terms of proximity to food court, bus stop, and pool? Can you go a step further and request a specific block of rooms? Thanks again, you all are wonderful!

Bonjour, Mark! We stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter in February 2011. It was awesome. I was all like, "Hi, I'm Prince Naveen" and then I'd do a 180 in a falsetto and be like, "Oh, hello there. I'm Tiana. Want a beignet?" I'd then carry on this joyful banter with myself all the way to the food court (Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory) acquire the aforementioned beignets, and then go about my day without losing hardly any time off the clock.

How was all of this possible? Easy: I do very convincing character voices. And... our room was really close to the main building, food court, bus stop and pool.

Our room was near the corner of Building 3. I'd recommend requesting to be in Building 3 or Building 4 to enjoy the same kind of proximity. You can add this request to your existing reservation by calling (407) 939-7675.

Then, 24-48 hours prior to arrival (near the time they are making room assignments,) call the resort directly at (407) 934-5000 and confirm your request.

    Enjoy!
