We will be at WDW from Feb. 26- Mar. 1 2014 and we were wondering if it would be warm enough to visit the water parks. Also we have a 5 and 8 year old and were wondering which water park you'd recommend.

    Hi Melanie,

Your trip is almost here! You are going to have a great time visiting the Walt Disney World Resorts!

The temperature at the end of February/beginning of March can be quite chilly. I have seen the temperatures dip to the 50's during the day. However, it could go as high as the low 80's. The weather really does change at this time of the year. I recommend looking at the weather at an online weather site such as Weather.com to get a forecast for your trip.

The pools and all the water park attractions are heated to 82 degrees Fahrenheit. Of course, for me personally, this only feels nice when it is 95 degrees outside. Some guests do not mind swimming in the water when it is cool outside.

During the cooler months, only one water park is open as the other goes through refurbishment. Typhoon Lagoon will be open during your trip. This park has a great wave pool as well as snorkeling and water roller coasters. I think it is more suited to older children but you will still have fun at this park. There is plenty for them to do!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
