    I am going to be in WDW on Fat Tuesday. I have seen in years past where Port Orleans French Quarter has had a Mardi Gras parade. Is this an annual thing? Will there be one this year? We would love to participate if there is.

    Welcome back Caroline!  Your vacation is right around the corner.   I know you are going to "laissez le bon temps rouler" on your Walt Disney World getaway!   Being from the south, I love a good Mardi Gras parade, something about a zydeco band and beads makes my heart smile.   I have confirmed with the Port Orleans French Quarter hotel that a parade will take place on Fat Tuesday, at this moment a time is not scheduled.   I suggest you ask the concierge at your Disney resort  when you arrive for any updated information they can provide to you.   

    Since you will be at the Port Orleans French Quarter Hotel.   Why not indulge in some New Orleans favorites such as beignets at the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory Food Court, or a refreshing Hurricane  from the Scat Cat's Club.   The Mardi Grogs pool bar also serves up some of my favorite draft beer from New Orleans,  Abita Amber, and TurboDog.   

    Your Fat Tuesday will be one to remember, you will be at the most magical place on earth.   I hope you have a terrific time, and have a hurricane for me.   Get ready  to yell "throw me something Mister!"
