Never been to WDW. SO Excited and nervous! Need to know what is the best type of shoe to wear in the parks?? I hear there is alot of walking and I don't want my 5yr old's little feet to blister up and be sore ( mine too). DH coming too. What to wear?

Natalia, I'll bet if you asked all 16 of us what shoes to wear, we'd all have different suggestions!  Shoe options are so personal!

The first thing I'll suggest is that whatever shoes you are going to wear, make sure they are already broken in.  The worst thing you can do is buy new shoes right before you go, because many times, a new, stiff shoe will cause blisters.

For my family, we have two differing opinions on shoes.  My husband and some of my girls prefer sneakers or tennis shoes with socks.  I think there is nothing more comfortable than a pair of Crocs - and I love the clog variety and the sandal variety.  My sister won't even think of going to Disney without her Birkenstocks.

Which brings me to my second suggestion - a trip to Disney World may not be the best time to try out a new brand of shoe.  If you've never worn Crocs, just taking another person's opinion that they are the most comfortable shoe on the planet isn't going to tell you how they feel on your feet.  So again, if you want to try a new brand of shoe, get them well in advance of your trip and try them out.

And just to be safe - carry some band-aids and moleskin with you, along with a little antibiotic cream to treat any blisters that do find your feet!
