We are going to WDW at the end of June in 2008. We are staying at a time share my mother gave us (we didn't have to pay). If we are at a park with Extra Magic hours, do they kick you out since you are not staying at the resort? How does all that work?

    Hello Jennifer,

It sounds like you are all prepared for a fabulous trip!  What could be better than going to Walt Disney World, and not have to pay?????  I have been during the Extra Magic hours when I have stayed in a Disney resort (and received the wristband which allows you to go experience the attractions during this special allotted time slot), and also when I have stayed in an outside resort.  In my circumstances, I can tell you that if you are not going to experience the attractions (where they will definitely check your wristbands), and only want to walk around the park for the atmosphere and ambience of the night, I think they would be hard pressed to single people out for this and ask them to leave.  I have stayed without my wristband a few times and still enjoyed the fireworks displays, night-time parades, and a lovely stroll!

On the other hand, If you are there when there is a hard ticket event going on (for example: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, etc...), where a sperate paid admission ticket is required, I am sure they will do their utmost to ask people to exit the park, as there are specials included with locations throughout the park offering complimentary cookies, beverages, treasure hunts, etc...etc....it would certainly not be fair to have guests pay separately to enjoy these features and have them see other guests who have not paid extra also enjoying the same features, (I do know they check your wristbands throughout the whole park for these special events...including the gift shops and dining facilities!).

    Have a great trip!
