We will be at WDW during Marathon Weekend, my ADRs and plans for Friday(1/9) and Saturday are centered around MK and Chef Mickey's. Should I change my plans and pick another park? Also how should we pack for the weather, ie) hats, gloves or just layers?

    Hi Tamira,

I think you are fine to be at the Magic Kingdom on Friday and Saturday. The marathon starts really early so the the participants are out of the Magic Kingdom before the morning is over. The park that sees the most activity is EPCOT where the marathon finishes.

As for the weather, I have been at Disney three years in a row for the marathon and had three completey different weather experiences. I would definitey consultĀ  a wather channel prior to you leaving home to know what to pack. I can say one year it was warmer in Pittsburgh than Florida, and I did not have enough layers!

However, Disney does sell all of those items in case you forget them on your trip or an unexpected cold front comes in.

    Have a great trip!
