HI! Will be @ WDW in December. What is the Candlelight Processional @ Epcot? Looked @ the special events and didn't see anything about this. Already doing MVMCP. Thanks & you all give out great information!! :)

The Candlelight Processional takes place at in the American Gardens Theater at Epcot in late November and throughout December. There is a full orchestra and a giant choir (comprised of Disney singers as well as a rotating list of local children's choirs) playing traditional Christmas songs. The singers enter the theater from the walkways of Epcot carrying candles (thus the candlelight part of the name); the visual effect is quite stunning. Also part of the evening is a reading of the Christmas story. The readers are celebrity guests. The line-up for 2008 has not been announced yet, but in 2007 some of the readers were Gary Sinese, Kirk Cameron, Marlee Matlin, Chita Rivera, and Monique Coleman. During our Moms Panel training in December 2007 we saw Gospel singer Steven Curtis Chapman as the guest reader.

The Candlelight Processional is a very popular event that sells out quickly. There are dinner packages available that will include guaranteed seating for the show. If you're interested in attending, I would strongly encourage the purchase of a dinner package. Keep checking the Disney website or call 407-W-DISNEY to see when tickets become available.
