We are going to WDW Dec 4-10... and will be staying at POFQ. I am concerned that that is one of the overflow resorts for Pop Warner. Have the resorts for Pop Warner been selected? Should we move resorts?

    Hi Therese,

I have vacationed at the Walt Disney World Resorts while the Pop Warner Football has been down there. While you will see crowds a little heavier than other weeks up until Christmas, it is manageable.

Since there are so many families coming for this event, they generally book at the value and moderate resorts. You could stay at Port Orleans French Quarter and just realize it may be busier if this resort is chosen. You could move to a different resort with hopes that the Pop Warner group is at another spot. If you are looking at the moderate level, try the Coronado Springs as this is a convention center and it will be used by guests coming to a convention on site. I really like the new rooms they have here as they look more like a deluxe resort than a moderate.

You will want to make sure that you have Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) for your meals so you are not shut out with dining. Finally, the children with Pop Warner will be playing football and practicing more than visiting the parks.

    Have a magical vacation!
