We will be at WDW in a couple of weeks. Do I need ADR in order to eat at any sit down restaurant on property? In the past, we would do some ADRs and ask if any available tables on others. I just wanted to know with the current status of the parks.

Hi there, Anna! Thank you for taking the time to visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm sure you are very excited to return to the magic shortly!

I'm so glad you asked about Disney Dining, as it is my hands down favorite topic! Walt Disney World has made some updates to their dining experiences, so procedures may differ from your last visit. Currently, advanced dining reservations are required in the theme parks and Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, and all Guests may now make dining reservations online up to 60 days in advance (previously it was 180 days). Another significant change is that along with your confirmed ADR, theme park table-service dining requires a park reservation and valid admission for that park on the same date for each person in your party (check out the Disney Park Pass System page for more details). I understand that it's fun to have some spontaneity during your vacation. Select Disney Springs restaurants still accept walk-ups; my Moms Panel friend, Rayna, was able to be seated immediately at The BOATHOUSE when she went for lunch last weekend. Keep in mind, however, that since tables will be physically distanced, there is reduced capacity, so I still recommend trying to book a reservation ahead of time.

Since you're a return visitor, I'm sure you're already a pro at using the My Disney Experience app -- through that, you can reserve dining with your fingertips! I did a quick search, and there is still plenty of availability during your travel week. You can also utilize the brand new Mobile Dine Check-in feature, browse menus, and mobile order food. I recommend staying tuned to the Dining: Know Before You Go page and the Disney Parks Blog for the most up to date information.

Mickey and I hope to see ya real soon, Anna!
