Hi Kelly,
What a fantastic age to bring your children, my girls were 7 and 9 when we took them on their first trip and their most favourite table service (sit down) meal was at the Crystal Palace. This is located in the Magic Kingdom and is a fun buffet meal with Winnie the Pooh and friends. The reason I chose this restaurant was because at the time my girls favourite characters were Piglet and Eeyore so they thought it was fantastic to dine with them. There are many character meals in WDW and as you're on the
deluxe dining plan you'll be able to dine at lots of them. If you click this link
HERE and then choose character dining from the dining experience drop down box you can see what's on offer. Obviously it will depend on which characters your children love but our favourites are the Garden Grill with Chip n Dale, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall with the Princesses, 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella's family and 'Ohana with Lilo & Stitch. Character meals are fantastic not just for the food but also for the fact that you get to meet the characters, get their autograph and photo without having to queue!
For non-character meals my girls love Teppan Edo in Japan, the food is delicious and seeing the Chef cook it infront of you is lots of fun, we also love Coral Reef as you dine under the sea. To be honest all the restaurants in Disney World are child friendly and offer great food. All the Disney restaurants can be found at the above link, I suggest you have a look at them and also check out the menus at
www.allears.net and then if you have any further questions about a specific restaurant please ask again.
Have a great trip,
Jo
