We will be at WDW when they are celebrating the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. I have two-year old twins. Do you think it would be worth it to go to the Halloween Party or should we wait until they are older?

    Hi there, Alison!

I think one of the best ways to visit the Magic Kingdom theme park is during an event like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. You typically find the crowds to be lighter than during a regular visit to the theme park, plus you get the added bonus of the Halloween fun.

The big question is that you are talking about two-year olds. And this is something that you are probably the most qualified person to ask. Are they night owls? Could you have a nice nap in the afternoon, and they'd be good to go in the evening?

My girls were all pretty adaptable, and my plan of attack on the day of the Halloween party is to take it easy. We sleep in a bit later, enjoy time at our Walt Disney World resort, spend some time in the pool, and then plan a nice afternoon nap. In years past, guests with Halloween party tickets could access the Magic Kingdom as early as 4 PM, so we get there then. By the time the party starts, we are ready for some trick or treating, we watch the awesome parade, hang in for the fireworks, hit up some our favorite attractions, and usually by 10 or 11 o'clock, we call it a night. That's really a full day at the park!

If your kids can be flexible with their sleeping schedule, I say go for it. It's fun, I think you can see and do more during the party than during a day in the park, and you'll make memories you'll have for a lifetime.

    Thanks for your question, Alison!
