We are going to WDW in August 09. We have a 1 yr. old and an 9 yr. old. I'm wondering which hotel would be better. PO Riverside or Cornado Springs. We have stayed at the Cornado and love it. Walking distance to the rooms was long.

Great questions Jeffrey. This past year I stayed at both Port Orleans Riverside and Coronado Springs resorts. This is a tough question. I love the location of the Port Orleans. We tend to spend a fair bit of time at Downtown Disney, so having the lovely boat ride was a huge plus for us. The grounds are really gorgeous, and even though we were there in March when it was very busy, the resort always seemed peaceful. The kids loved the pool area and the Riverside Mill food court is great! The only negative for me was that our rooms in the Alligator Bayoo section were a bit dated, but something I happily overlooked in light of all the other pros.

Coronado Springs is gorgeous. Again the grounds are beautiful, and the Dig Site pool area is awesome. This is a convention resort, and has a great spa. The recently renovated rooms are gorgeous, and the dining choices are varied. The Pepper Market is a favourite counter service spot!

I hope this helps Jeffrey. Bottom line, if I was going for location, then I would try Port Orleans. Have a great vacation whichever resort you choose!
