About Me
Hi! I'm Joanne from Ottawa, Canada. I'm a single mom to my amazing, 15-year-old daughter and by day, I work for the Government of Canada. I am so excited to be on the planDisney Panel! I absolutely love helping future guests plan their Disney vacations and create their own magical memories! In my spare time I'm active and enjoy running, skiing, golfing and sharing a great meal with good friends. Oh, and can't forget shopping. I also love traveling, and I am privileged to have travelled extensively. These travels have also brought me to Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, the Disneyland Resort in California and on several Disney cruises. I love planning trips and get as much joy (well, almost as much) helping others plan their vacations as I do planning our own.
About My Family
My daughter has inherited my love for all-things-Disney. My brother and his family, including my niece and nephew, also share this passion. Along with my parents, we've all enjoyed our own grand gathering at Walt Disney World. I think travelling is in our blood, which is a good thing because we all live in different parts of the country!
About My Disney Experience
Disney has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As kids, my parents would drive my brother and me the 1,400+ miles to Walt Disney World, where we'd camp at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. This love for Disney lives on. Years ago, I had the privilege of working as a cultural representative in the Canada pavilion at Epcot. Since then, I have been back too many times to count — as a student, honeymooning newlywed, new parent, not-so-new parent, single parent and a runner. My family had a race reunion where all three generations ran Disney races. My daughter and I have been going to Disney since she was baby. No matter how many times we visit, there is still always a new magical experience to enjoy!
