We are going to WDW in August and are trying to decide between the 50's Prime Time Cafe or the Sci Fi Theatre. Which would you recommend? We have 3 adults and 1 16 year old.

Hi, Michaela!  I love the theming at both of these restaurants, and if you are going just for the theming, I'd be hard pressed to make a choice.  I think if you consider theme only, I might give a slight edge to the Sci-Fi Dine In, as it is so cool to sit in a car and a "drive-in" theater!

If you are going for food and service, however, I give the definite edge to the 50s Prime Time Cafe.  We always seem to have a much longer wait at the Sci-Fi, possibly because they give you time to watch the movie clips and enjoy your meal - there is definitely not a rush here.  It's just always a little too long for us, especially with younger children.  We also have always preferred the food at the 50s Prime Time Cafe to the food served at the Sci-Fi.  I love the home style fried chicken and the tender pot roast at the Prime Time!  Sci-Fi is definitely more of a burger and sandwich type place, and my family prefers a more traditional meal, especially at dinner time.

The 50s Prime Time Cafe can be loads of fun - even for adults.  While it depends on your server, the interaction with the waiters and waitresses here is half the fun of dining here.

    Have a great trip!
