We'll be in WDW in August, with 3 kids (8,10,13) and 3 grandparents. We'd like to go to mini golf, then go to dinner at either the Hoop-De-Doo Revue, or Magical Gatherings Illuminations Dinner. Which would be easier to get to from Fantasia Gardens?

It will be MUCH easier to get to the Illuminations dinner than the Hoop De Doo Revue from the Fantasia Gardens MiniGolf course. Fantasia Gardens is just across the street from the Boardwalk hotel. And the Boardwalk is directly adjacent to the the International Gateway entrance to Epcot and the Illuminations dinner. It's less than a mile away. You could easily walk it in 20 minutes on a nice day.

To get from Fantasia to the Hoop de Doo, I would go to the Boardwalk hotel and get a bus to the Magic Kingdom, then transfer to the shuttle boat to Fort Wilderness, then walk to Pioneer Hall and the Revue. This is going to take an hour at minimum, maybe substantially more. I love the Hoop de Doo, but if ease of transportation is your deciding factor, then you should definitely go with Illuminations.
