Hi we are going to WDW April 7-14 08. It will be my 5 yr old daughter's first time.I was wondering if you can suggest things that will make her visit to Disney Magical???Any idea what the weather is like that time in April? Thanks

    Hi Tara,

April is a lovely time to visit Walt Disney World.  Orlando Weather in April is still drier than the rainy season, and almost always warm. Wear shorts, short sleeved shirts, and a hat, and drink lots of water.  The weather at this time of the year sees slowly rising temperatures. You will be very comfortable in the water parks or swimming in the pools at the resorts.  It is typically sunny and remember to use sun screen on the kids (and yourself!).  The average temperatures for April seem to follow a trend as follows:  Normal Low 60F, Record Low 38F, Normal High 82F and Record High 95F.

As far as great things to do with a 5 year old, (I imagine she really loves the Princesses?), my suggestions would be to visit Magic Kingdom (for sure) and take her to see "Belle" (from Beauty and the Beast),read a story to a small, limited group of parents and children! or you can see a theatrical musical production of "Beauty and the Beast" at Disney's Hollywood Studios (I personally love their theater productions, and these are "must Sees" for my family whenever we go to Walt Disney World).  A night at Magic Kingdom is never complete until you view the"Wishes Nighttime Spectacular" Fireworks show.  I forgot to mention that you should go to any Guest Services locations to receive your "It's our first trip to Disney" pins, for the "special attention" you will more than likely receive from wearing them around the parks.  I suggest you search the Walt Disney World website for all the attractions I have mentioned, as well as other attractions in all of the Parks and all of the "things to do" at the many Resorts, as there is sooo much and it would be impossible for me to list all of my favorites.  Remember that "Dreams Do Come True, and Anything Is Possible" when you are at Walt Disney World.......Just Believe!!!!!!

    Have a magical vacation!
