We are going to WDW in April, staying with family, and I have heard about purchasing refillable cups for the 5 days we will be there. Is this an option if you aren't staying onsite? Thanks in advance for your response!

    Hi Shani,

The refillable mugs are only for use in the Walt Disney World resort hotels, not in the theme parks. For that reason, the VAST majority of guests who purchase the mugs are those staying at Disney hotel. For example, a refillable mug would make sense if you were using it to get your morning coffee at your resort food court, a few sodas in the afternoon by the pool, and a cup of cocoa before bed. Getting all those beverages for one price makes lots of sense. However, if you're not staying at a Disney hotel, you'll probably only be there for one or two special meals, paying the full price for the mug would probably be more than you'd pay for just the one or two soft drinks you'd get with your food.

So in short, yes, you could buy a mug, but it probably doesn't make much sense for you to do so.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
