Welcome aboard, Eileen! It's almost time for your family to set sail with Disney Cruise Line! My family has sailed with Disney quite a few times in the fall. We love sneaking away from the cooler temperatures back home to head south for the warm waters of the
Bahamas and
Caribbean!
You didn't mention which ship or itinerary you're sailing this fall, but the Bahamian itinerary and the Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries all offer wonderfully warm temperatures at sea and in the ports of call in the fall. You can expect highs in the upper 70's to mid-80's in the Bahamas this October, and mid-to upper 80's as highs in the Caribbean.
The water temperature of the ocean in the Caribbean tends to be around 83 degrees in October, so you'll enjoy lots of comfortable swimming at the beaches. In the Bahamas, you can expect ocean water temperatures of 78-80 degrees. Even in December and January, we've had great times at Castaway Cay, splashing and swimming at the beach! Now onboard, Disney Cruise Line always has very comfortable water temperatures in the
pools. The pools are heated when the temperature drops below 75 degrees, so swimming on deck is always in season when you sail with Captain Mickey!
So, pack your swimsuits and summer-style clothes for your getaway this fall, Eileen! But, don't forget a light jacket or sweater too. Evenings on deck can be breezy making it feel much cooler, plus inside the restaurants and Walt Disney Theatre with the air conditioning, I tend to get chilly too. A sweater is always on my must-pack list, even in the summer. I hope those details help as you get ready to set sail next month! Have a magical cruise, Eileen!
