Surfs up, Joanna!
Thanks for swimming by planDisney with another great question today. I'd be happy to help you prepare for a splish-splashing good time!
Although Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is currently closed for refurbishment,
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is open for guests hoping to soak up some sun and fun. I have actually not yet had the chance to enjoy Typhoon Lagoon, but I'm working on plans for my family to experience it later this summer.
Miss Adventure Falls looks like the perfect attraction for my foursome to enjoy together, and I have my eye on one of those delicious Sand Pail Sundaes, too!
I reached out to a Cast Member and confirmed that towels are available for daily rental while visiting Typhoon Lagoon. At this time, rental fees are $2 per towel but prices are subject to change. In the past, towels were available for complimentary use by Disney Resort Hotel guests, but when I put in a call to double-check, I was unable to confirm that was still the case. I'd recommend mentioning that you are a Disney Resort Hotel guest at towel pick-up locations to see if there are able to offer any accommodations.
You are certainly welcome to bring your own towels from home, but I'd personally rather save the room in my luggage for souvenirs. I don't believe your Disney Resort Hotel would offer towels for use outside the resort, but you can always inquire at the front desk during your visit just to make sure.
If you find yourself in need of sunscreen or other water park essentials during your visit, be sure to stop by
Singapore Sal's. As you stroll and shop, you just might end up thanking me for leaving room in your suitcase for souvenirs!
Joanna, I'm wishing you a wet and wild visit this coming August. If we can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to stop back and see us again.
Just keep swimming,
Amy
