Do the water parks count as “park” days? Can I do this example agenda with a 4 day park hopper plus ticket? Day 1 Epcot, Day 2 Typhoon Lagoon, Day 3 Animal Kingdom, Day 4 Blizzard Beach, Day 5 Magic Kingdom and Day 6 Hollywood Studios.

Hiya, Jamie! Thanks for hopping over to planDisney!

It sounds like you have a wonderful Walt Disney World trip in the works. Let's dive right in!

Theme park tickets with the park hopper option will give you admission to the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Animal Kingdom. These tickets do not include admission to either of Walt Disney World’s two water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, and visiting a water park wouldn’t be counted as one of your park days. If you’d like to include water park admission with your ticket package, you might consider adding the Water Park and Sports option.

So your example trip itinerary would work in regards to tickets, but it should be noted that only one water park may be open during your visit. Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon have alternated operations in recent years. Currently, Blizzard Beach is open to guests while Typhoon Lagoon is undergoing maintenance and refurbishment. Blizzard Beach is expected to close on March 29, 2025 while opening dates for Typhoon Lagoon are not known yet.

I’m sure that information is coming soon, but I want to make sure you’re in the loop as you plan your Disney Parks adventure! I’d recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for up-to-date parks news.

Jamie, I hope this helps with your planning. Don’t hesitate to come back to planDisney with any additional questions, and be sure to follow planDisney on Instagram for great vacation planning tips and tricks.

Have a splish splash spectacular time!
