I see on BOTH water park descriptions it suggests that guests wear water shoes or flip flops as the ground can get really hot. Most water parks don't allow you to wear shoes on the rides. Do these 2 water parks allow it since they suggest wearing them?

Yes. Water shoes are allowed on the rides and slides at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. I strongly suggest that you find a style that will stay on your feet securely. Some examples might be a Teva-style sandal with velcro or a slip-on bootie style that secures with a cord (I have seen good examples of this on the Land's End website.) Personally, I stay away from Crocs or flipflips that fall off while you're riding.

    Enjoy your water park visit.
