which water park is better suited for a 5 year old...45 inches tall

Hi Andy!  Both water parks are fabulous, but being the mother of a 6 year old, I can tell you I would highly recommend Blizzard Beach.  There is an entire area where your 5 year old can run around and feel as if he or she is a big kid.  My daughter also loves lazily relaxing in the tubes around the park, that is while she pushes me into the squirting fountains.  From miniature slides to walking across tires in the water, your 5 year old will stay busy for the entire day.  Yes I do love Typhoon Lagoon, but I just felt like there was more for my younger daughter to enjoy at BB.
I hope this information helps and that you have an incredible WDW vacation.
