Welcome to planDisney, Jaycee!
The calendar may still say summer, but fall has arrived at Walt Disney World Resort! With
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicking off this week, be on the lookout for fall decor at
Magic Kingdom Park as well as some
ghoulish goodies.
You'll be happy to know that
Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages into the theme parks, including water bottles. Glass containers (other than small baby food jars) are not permitted. I used to bring disposable plastic water bottles, and then a couple of years ago I switched to an insulated stainless steel water bottle. What a difference! I fill it with ice at my
Disney Resort Hotel and then refill it throughout the day. The water stays cold for hours.
Water bottle filling stations have been popping up in the parks, usually in the newer or refurbished areas. Often I'll see large water dispensers for Guest use at quick-service dining locations. Guests may also request complimentary cups of ice or ice water.
All Guests will go through security screening prior to entering the theme parks. If you do choose to bring a metal water bottle, it is recommended that you hold it in your hand rather than packing it in your bag to expedite the screening process.
Please stop by planDisney again if you have any additional questions. Have a wonderful vacation!
