watched one of your mom panel videos the mom's name was Erin, and it was mentioned about some free souvenirs, but did not elaborate can you tell me more and where to find them?

    Hi Sheri,

That video was filmed a looong time ago in my basement, back before the Moms Panel videos got all fancy. I'm glad someone is still watching it. My girls and I had loads of fun making it.

The free souvenirs section of the video was cut out in the editing process. It always bugged me that it's missing. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to elaborate.

Some of the free souvenirs are:

    - Mickey stickers. Stand around long enough and a cast member will hand you some stickers with Mickey on them.

    - Celebration buttons. There are buttons available at the park guest relations offices that say "Today is My Birthday," "First Visit," "Just Married," and several other sayings. You can get several even if you're to celebrating any of those particular events.

    - Park maps. Park maps make great posters. I've laminated them to use as placemats for my kids. I have a friend who cut up some park maps and made a board game out of them.

    - Menus. Many of the restaurants will give you a copy of the menu as a souvenir. It's not always possible, but I've had about 75% success by just asking nicely.

    - Other ephemera. Your room key, the Times Guides, napkins, Mickey bar wrappers, coloring pages and other paper items make fun additions to scrapbooks and can be used in many collage-type art projects.

For more ideas about free things at WDW, you might want to head over to the independent website blog.touringplans.com and search there for an article called, "Free Stuff at Disney World."

    Enjoy!
