I watched a Disney video concerning questions about the resort refillable mugs and the person said that either my husband or I purchased a mug, we could both share it at the WDW resorts only. We go 3 or 4 times a year and we have a closet full of them

    Hey there Leanne!

Welcome back to planDisney. I'd be happy to help quench your thirst for information about the Resorts Refillable Mugs.

Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resorts Collection hotel have the option to purchase a Resorts Refillable Mug for use during their stay, up to 14 days. You'll be able to fill up on coffee, tea, soft drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages at self-service stations throughout the day at resort quick-service dining locations. While you won't be able to use your mug for refills at the theme parks, the mug ends up being a great value if you typically purchase multiple drinks per day at your resort. They work via a small RFID chip alerting the beverage station sensors that the mug is active. Though you can certainly share a morning "cup of Joe" with your husband, I'd rather have a cup all to myself to start my day. I find my husband and I to be much more fun to be around when we are fully caffeinated, so we keep the sharing reserved for snacks later in the day. There is a waiting period between beverage refills as well, so just keep that in mind.

I reached out to a Cast Member to see whether you could bring part of your mug collection back on future trips. Unfortunately, there is no option for past refillable mugs to be reactivated for additional use at this time. The mugs are always so colorful and cute, so I'm sure they are still a fun addition to your drinkware collection at home. Personally, I'd bring one along to our neighborhood pool and pretend I'm still vacationing in the middle of the magic as I sip on my favorite drink.

I'm not sure if you've heard but beginning May 31, guests will once again have the option to add a Disney Dining Plan to their vacation package for stays after Jan 9, 2024. Both dining plan options will include a refillable resort mug for each guest over age 3, as part of the purchase.

I hope this was helpful Leanne. If we can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to reach out again.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
