If you watch the preview video of MNSSHP it ends with saying that it starts on the 10th but the parties are always on Tuesdays and Fridays - neither of which is the 10th. Do you think that someone made a mistake and it should be the 9th? I hope so, because

    Hey Adrianne!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! Thank you so much for your question.

Doesn't that video just make you want it to be September right now! Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) is such a ghoulish, good time.

Each year, the dates and days for MNSSHP change slightly. Last year, the parties were typically held on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays in September. Those days changed in October when they are typically Thursdays and Fridays as well as one other random day during the week. Like I said before though, every year there are slight tweaks to the schedule.

While we don't know the dates quite yet, there are a couple of good ways to get a hint on when the parties will be:
    • Check the parks hours for the Magic Kingdom. If you see the park is closing at 7:00 p.m., that is a good indication of when a party will take place.
    • Check out last year's park calendars on the EasyWDW.com website. This will give you an indication on when the parties took place last year. Therefore, giving you at least a hint on when they might take place this year.

The #1 source for party information will be the Disney Parks Blog. I expect the dates to be posted any day now. Last year, the dates were posted on May 8. The year before it was May 2.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any other questions please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
