Aloha, Eric! We're glad to see you back at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I see you have a trip planned to see Mickey and his pals in a few short weeks!
Magic Kingdom Park's nightly fireworks show,
Happily Ever After, debuted in 2017, and it has become my favorite finale to any day at The Most Magical Place on Earth. Although the best place to watch this 18-minute show is on Main Street, U.S.A., there is something to be said about leaving the Park ahead of the crowds and watching from afar.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is the perfect spot, and you don't need to be a guest of the resort to watch from here (however, this policy might be different on busy holiday nights such as New Year's Eve or the Fourth of July). There is an area that I like along the beach or sidewalk path between the ceremonial house and the bungalows, and from here, you'll have a straight-on view of the fireworks show; also, they often pipe in the music which includes songs from favorite Disney animated films. To me, there's nothing better than relaxing with tiki torches all around, and a tropical drink in hand courtesy of the
Barefoot Pool Bar.
The fireworks will start at 8:00 PM during your vacation but plan to stick around afterward to experience the
Electrical Water Pageant, which is a nostalgic display of lighted floats that cruise their way across the Seven Seas Lagoon starting at 9:00 PM nightly. You won't regret it, and it's a must-see for me at least once on every trip!
I hope you have a magical time, Eric! Please stop back and see us again real soon!
