I wasn’t able to get an ADR for Space 220, and although I’m willing to stand in line for walk-up, I’m not sure that’s the best use of my kid’s limited time at Epcot. Can I wait alone, or does the entire party need to stand in line?

It’s almost launch-time to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Sarah!

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by with your question.

Space 220 Restaurant sure sounds out of this world, and I’m starry you couldn’t get a reservation for this dining experience. Because the restaurant is so popular, reservations tend to go pretty quickly, but Saturn that frown upside down, Sarah! I’m happy to help you plan-et, so you’re able to enjoy the lounge area at Space 220!

Sarah, you’ve heard of rope dropping a specific attraction, but at EPCOT currently, I would recommend you rope drop the lounge area since it operates on a first-come, first-serve walk-up list. I would encourage you to walk over with your family to get in line, and then once the Cast Member lets you know the estimated time your wait will be, you are more than welcome to have your kiddos leave to explore the park. However, please be sure you can stay connected with one another in case your table becomes available earlier, as the entire party needs to be present before being seated.

Although the lounge area provides the same spectacular views as the rest of the restaurant, along with receiving the same menu, you can opt-out of the two-course prix fixe lunch. If you’re not very hungry and would prefer appetizers, you can order off of the Lift-Offs menu instead.

I hope you and your family get to experience Space 220 Restaurant, Sarah! Have an enchanting visit!
