Hi! We were wanting to take my 4 yr. old to disney in April. We have never been so I was wondering is it better (easier and cheaper) to book thru a place offering packages or just wait till we get there? If so, can anyone rec. a good reliable one?

    Krista,

If there is something that is a fairly golden rule about a Walt Disney World vacation, it is that planning ahead is an essential key to a happy, relaxing, vacation. I can't imagine just showing up and expecting to get the best possible pricing on a room, let alone one in the resort of choice.

So what I would do, in your situation, is book your reservation sooner than later. And since you are not sure where to check for packages, I would definitely go book with either Disney directly, or better yet with an Authorized Disney Vacation planner. Pick one of these authorized travel agents, and make sure that they are a no-fee agency. That means that you aren't paying them anything to arrange your trip.

I think they are great because they can find all the promotions that apply to you. They can even track any new ones that come out, and apply them to you, if possible. Select ones will also make your dining reservations for you, as well as other plan reservations.

I like Mouse Fan Travel, but I can tell you there are many other good ones!

    Have a magical vacation!
