Welcome aboard, Jennifer! It is so exciting to begin planning your very first Disney Cruise Line adventure!
The best thing to do is first decide when and where you'd like to sail. Play around with the itineraries on the
Plan A Cruise page. Use the drop down boxes to select a month and port. This will narrow your options to the ships and itineraries available in those months out of that port. Then begin sorting through based on your budget. Once you decide which ship and itinerary works best for your family, book it! If you sail out of Port Canaveral, you may want to add a few days at the Walt Disney World Resort before or after your cruise for even more magic, a true
land and sea trip!
Then comes the really fun part: exploring all of the fun extras available with Disney Cruise Line! There is already
so much included in the cost of your cruise, but lots of extras like
Port Adventures, Adult Exclusive Dining, and Specialty Character Experiences can be added. Some require an additional cost, and some don't. But, you'll be able to pick out these extras once your online check-in opens at 75 days prior to sailing for first time guests. Since guests who have sailed with Disney before get to check in 90 or more days prior, you'll want to have a list of your must-do's ready on day 75 so you can log in and book right away.
Disney makes it super easy to plan a cruise, so once you choose your sailing, have so much fun exploring all the extras that are available, and stop back again with more questions. We're happy to help with more tips and specific recommendations based on your itinerary, Jennifer!
