Hey there, Alice!
I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney! You must be getting so excited for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation! And how wonderful that you'll be sharing this magical experience with your mum...what a special way to make memories together! I actually took a trip with my mom recently, and we had an absolute blast. From riding our favorite attractions and catching the shows to trying yummy treats and discovering little magical surprises around every corner, I just know your trip is going to be packed with fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
I love that you're just as excited as I am about Disney's brand-new nighttime parade,
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away! Right now, it's scheduled to run at 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, with
Happily Ever After showing in between at 9:00 PM. Just keep in mind that these times could change by the time of your visit, so it's always a good idea to double-check the entertainment schedule on your
My Disney Experience app.
Here's a fun little tip that's super helpful to know. Unlike
Festival of Fantasy, which kicks off in Frontierland, Starlight actually starts on Main Street, U.S.A. That can really make a big difference when you're deciding which accessible spot to watch from, even more so if you're hoping to catch Happily Ever After afterwards.
If you're planning to watch the 8:00 PM parade, a great spot is the accessible area near City Hall. Once the parade moves along, you can head over to the accessible viewing area just in time to enjoy Happily Ever After!
If you're up for staying a bit later in the park, I actually recommend flipping the order. Start by catching the fireworks, and once the show wraps up, head over to your preferred accessible spot for the parade. If you'd like to be close to the exit for easier departure, the area near City Hall would again be a solid choice. But if being near the exit isn't a priority, another great spot is the accessible area near
Sleepy Hollow and
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square. It's usually a bit less crowded and still gives you a great view. Plus, the later parade tends to be quieter, making for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.
You can check out the accessible viewing areas at Magic Kingdom by downloading the
Guests with Disabilities map here. You can also view them right in your My Disney Experience app, or grab a paper copy once you're in the parks.
Alice, I hope this is helpful as you continue to plan your most magical vacation at the most magical place! Please don't hesitate to visit us again at planDisney if you have any additional questions!
