Hi! I am wanting to make a reservation for lunch and the maximum is 8 guests. We have 4 adults , 4 teenagers and 2 infants. May I book a reservation for 8 and have the babies in our laps? Or can we make 2 reservations for 5?

    Hello, Christina,

Welcome to planDisney. We're so happy you decided to be our guest with this question today!

I love trying new dining experiences every time I visit Walt Disney World Resort. Whether we are snacking around World Showcase at EPCOT, or enjoying a Table Service Meal at Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom Park, we are always impressed by the variety of cuisines we can feast upon during our vacation.

I'm not sure which restaurant you are trying to secure a lunch reservation for,  but I took a quick look and was able to select a party size of 10 both online and via the My Disney Experience App. As I'm writing, Tiffins Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Biergarten Restaurant at EPCOT both seem to have lunch availability for a group of 10 next week.

In my research, I did see "the party size is too large" pop up for other dining locations. Party size limits vary from restaurant to restaurant, and remaining availability may be limited depending on the party sizes of other guests dining at the same time. If you are seeing a particular location with a party size limit of 8, you'll need to break up your group into two separate reservations. All guests, including infants, will need to be accounted for due to restaurant capacity.

If you do need to split your group into two parties of 5, just let the Cast Member know you are hoping to have both groups seated together when you arrive to check in for your meal. They may not be able to accommodate you every time, but will always work hard to make magic for your group when possible. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your entire party will get to enjoy a culinary cabaret all at the same table!

I hope this was helpful Christina. If I can be of further assistance please stop back and let me know.

    Bon Appétit!
