Hello Scott!
Welcome to planDisney! I can tell you that I am very excited about the reopening of the
Disneyland Resort and anxious to make a trip to California. We planned to take our Walt Disney World expert kids on their first trip to Disneyland last June, and for obvious reasons that didn’t happen. While we all have Disneyland Theme Park Tickets, since we live in Indiana we still don’t know when we will be able to enter the theme parks and make that visit.
While the State of California has given the okay for out-of-state residents to visit, the Disneyland Resort has not yet changed their policy, nor have they made any announcement as to when that could happen. Unfortunately, we just don’t know when this will change. Disneyland could remain restricted to California residents for quite some time, or they could announce a change tomorrow. Only Mickey knows for sure, and he is a very good secret keeper! (I wonder if he tells Minnie?) Out-of-state visitors may still stay at
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, as well as shop and dine in the
Downtown Disney District.Scott, I would stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog, and I recommend following the Disneyland Resort on social media channels to see the latest reopening announcements. If the theme parks do reopen to out-of-state Guests, be sure to read up on the
latest changes and policies. Know that all Guests need both a paid theme park ticket and a complimentary theme park reservation to enter a theme park. These reservations are filling quickly and so availability may be limited during the time you wish to visit.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Scott. I hope you get to visit Disneyland soon!
