    Wanting to leave MK via monorail to have lunch at Kona Cafe at Polynesian & then return to MK. How much time should i allow for this excursion. I want a later lunch but be back in park by 3pm. We are going on an "off season" day in sept. t

    Hi Angela! The monorail from them Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian Resort is direct and takes about 15 minutes. It will take about the same amount of time to return. I would leave the Magic Kingdom no less than half an hour prior to your reservation time to be sure you allow yourself enough time.
