Hi Kathryn! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
Guest safety is a top priority at the Happiest Place on Earth, and I'm sure it is for your family as well! Traveling with a food allergy can add a layer of difficulty in planning. Since your nephew has a food allergy, I'm going to direct you to the
Allergy Friendly Requests informational page, which details which common allergens can be accommodated with allergy-friendly options. Without advance notice, most Table Service and Quick Service dining locations can accommodate intolerances and allergy-friendly requests without advanced notice. For example, Tiana's Palace in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park currently offers
Peanut/Tree Nut Allergy-Friendly House-Filled Beignets.
However, you need to speak with a Cast Member about your allergy-friendly request, as ingredients and methods for preparation can change at any time. If I spoke to a Cast Member today requesting Peanut/Tree Nut allergy-friendly information about the delicious beignets and churros you'll find in various spots throughout the parks, the information might be different by the time of your visit. So, it's important the Cast Member be aware of the Guest's needs and ultimately, it is up to the discretion of the Guest to make an informed choice after that conversation.
You can check the online menus for select dining locations for their allergy-friendly options using the
Disneyland mobile app. On the app's map, change the top selection from "Attractions" to "Dining" to bring up all dining spots throughout the parks. Tap an icon to bring up the location's information, including the option to "View Menu." Please be aware that not all locations show an allergy-friendly menu as you scroll down through the options, but that doesn't mean they don't offer allergy-friendly options! It's just a good starting point as you're navigating choices throughout the day. And always speak with a Cast Member!
Have a magical day.
Elizabeth
