Hi, Sara! Welcome to planDisney! And allow me to wish an early "Welcome to the World" to your little Mouseketeer!
I'm about to go to a gender reveal party for my niece's baby, and I'm so excited for her! I can only imagine how over-the-moon you must be to find out the big news at the Most Magical Place on Earth. As a Disney-loving mom myself, I absolutely adore your idea.
If you check
Walt Disney World's Property Rules & Regulations, there are a few places where balloons are prohibited, including Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, the water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports, the NBA Experience, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. As long as you're not in one of those locations, your helium balloon should be just fine!
My only worry would be how you plan to do the reveal itself. If you were going to have a colored powder inside that would create a cloud of pink or blue, I'm not sure that would be allowed, especially inside a theme park. I think to be on the safe side, you might want to
give Guest Relations a call to be certain, and possibly have an alternative way of celebrating your amazing moment. You'll find some great ideas from my planDisney pals
Rayna,
Allyn, and
Aena.
Once you've done the big reveal, be sure to pick up a free Celebration Button available in any
Guest Relations location or many of the retail shops to announce to the world that "It's a ...!" Cast Members will write a message on it for you at no charge, or for a really special memento, you can stop by
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in the Magic Kingdom Park or
Disney's Days of Christmas at Disney Springs and get a gorgeous customization for just a few dollars. (And if you've chosen your baby's name, it would be a precious keepsake that you can put in a pocket and pull out when the time is right to share.)
Sara, I couldn't be happier for you and your family! I wish you an easy pregnancy, a healthy baby, and many magical Disney days to come. Have a lovely reveal day, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
