I am wanting to take my family on a Disney Cruise as well as spend a few days at Disneyworld. Do you suggest doing the cruise first or DW first?

    Welcome Aboard, Janessa!

What a fantastic trip you will soon be planning! Since a stay at the Walt Disney World Resort is usually so action-packed, I would suggest that you spend your time there first.

One of the best things about a Disney Cruise is that you have time to relax and take it easy. This is so welcome after the fun and frenzy of being at the Disney Parks. The time on a cruise seems to move slower (although your cruise will be over before you know it!) and definitely has a different "feel". You aren't so rushed. Maybe you will want to treat yourself to the spa onboard, a massage for those tired feet, perhaps?

Another benefit on the Disney Cruise ships is the character interactions. Unlike waiting in the parks to meet a character, the lines are much shorter, and you might even get lucky enough to encounter someone in the hallways. One of our favorite character memories is watching Peter Pan chasing some children down the hallway! The character meetings are listed on the Daily Navigator, so you can be sure to find your favorites.

A Disney Cruise is the ultimate in luxury. I hope you have a wonderful vacation, and look forward to seeing you back here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask more questions as you plan your amazing trip!

Happy Land and Sea Vacationing, Tracy V.

Meet the Panelist: Tracy, Illinois

GAWRSH! Hiya pals! I am a Goofy-loving mom of 2, who is married to my real-life Prince Charming. My family supports my passion for all things Disney. Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
