Hi Christina,
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is one of our favorite resorts at Disney World. The theming feels like you have gone back to a magical moment in time where all your troubles melt away. The dining options here are also practically perfect in every way! I have had breakfast at both 1900 Park Fare and Grand Floridian Cafe and can confirm they are both the perfect way to start a Disney day.
Even if you are not staying on Disney property, you are still welcome to visit and dine at any of the Disney Resort hotels. You can drive to and park at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa if you have a confirmed advanced dining reservation at one of their restaurants. You will not be able to keep your car there all day and will need to move it after you finish your breakfast.
Since the Grand Floridian has
monorail transportation straight to Magic Kingdom, I prefer to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center before breakfast and then take the monorail over to the Grand Floridian so I can get straight to the fun after breakfast and don't have to worry about my car. If you choose to do this, head to Magic Kingdom parking when you arrive. Magic Kingdom parking will automatically lead you to the Transportation and Ticket Center, where you can hop on a monorail to the Grand Floridian.
If you choose to dine at the
Grand Floridian Cafe, consider ordering the Buttermilk-fried Chicken and Waffles. They are to die for and a perfect way to start your day with sugar and protein galore.
1900 Park Fare is also a fun option especially with kids because you get to meet some of your favorite Disney friends like Tiana while you dine on an endless supply of food at the buffet.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
