    I am wanting to change my reservation from a standard room to preferred room at all star movie resort ? I have looked in Disney.com and didn’t find where to. I have also called reservations several times with no answer. Help?

    Howdy Jessica!

    Staying at Disney's All-Star Movie Resort is an all-time favorite for my family! We often upgrade to the preferred room so we can stay in the Toy Story section! Seeing the larger-than-life-sized Woody and Buzz is so much fun! I have often upgraded from a standard to a preferred room when a preferred room is not available at the time of booking, so I can definitely help you out.

    To do this, complete the following steps:

    1. Visit the Walt Disney World website
    2. Click on My Disney Experience
    3. Scroll down to "My Plans" and you will see your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort Hotel reservation
    4. Click on "Change" to change your reservation and you can change the hotel, dates, or room type
    5. Once you click on change, you can select if you want to change your vacation dates, resort hotel, or room type within the current resort

    There is a chance that the preferred room is not available for the dates you are visiting. In that case, you will see the message "This room type is unavailable for the dates, party size, or offer selected." There will be a "Check Availability" button next to that message and you can see if the preferred room is available on an alternate date.

    I see that you are visiting on May 15. While I'm unsure of your check-out date, it appears that a preferred room at Disney's All-Star Movie Resorts is available from May 15-May 21. Of course, this is subject to change, but I encourage you to visit the site quickly to try to capture the reservation. If you are unable to get a preferred room at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, check out the other All-Star Resorts, including Music and Sports. 

    Spring is a wonderful time of year to visit Walt Disney World! While you are here, I encourage you to check out the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Taste some of the amazing treats served at the outdoor kitchens. My favorite is frushi (fruit sushi) in the Japan pavilion!
