Wanting to bring my daughter to Disney World in Sept. can you tell me best weeks to come and if there is anything special at Disney during this time? Also do you think free dining will be available in Sept? Thank you for your help.

Hi Mary, and welcome back to to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

From my own experience, September is a fantastic time of year to visit Walt Disney World.  In fact, for nearly a decade this was the month-of-choice for my family to take our own annual vacation.  The two main reasons we liked September were the lower crowds (especially if you visit after Labor Day weekend) and more affordable resort rates.  While past offers aren't a guarantee of future ones, free dining has also been a nice perk of visiting in September in recent years.  Historically speaking, these free dining promotions have been announced March-May, so my best recommendation is to check the Special Offers page of the Walt Disney World website regularly for updates.  Even if free dining is not announced, another great offer might be available for your trip dates.

There are a couple special events that happen in September, too.  If you're looking for an extra spook-tacular time, you can check out Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom.  Starting around the second week of September and running through the end of October, this event scares up fun for the whole family, from the special "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade to trick-or-treating throughout the park. You can watch that site for more information on the 2014 dates and ticket prices as it gets closer.  If you're visiting around the end of the month, you might also be able to get a taste of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, where you can literally eat your way through delicacies from dozens of international spots.

Thanks for your questions, and happy vacation planning!
