Hey there, Jena! Welcome to planDisney, it's always so fun seeing a fellow Texan here. Thanks for your question today!
Typically, vacation packages for the following year usually come out around the summer, although this can be subject to change. I'd begin checking the
Walt Disney World Resort website then and keeping up with the
Disney Parks Blog. You will hear announcements such as vacation packages, special offers, and any information on seasonal events here. You can also follow planDisney on Instagram (@plandisneypanel) for all the latest updates. If you wish to book a room-only reservation (meaning no dining plan or tickets), you can begin doing this up to 499 days in advance.
Have you started looking at which
Disney resort you wish to call "home" during your visit? All of them are uniquely themed, yet possess that magic you'll find within the theme parks. There is a resort for every family and every budget. My family and I love Disney's Pop Century Resort, which is in the Value category. We also loved our recent stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside and Disney's Beach Club Resorts. All of them are beautifully themed, and are very close to the theme parks (I timed my walk from Beach Club to EPCOT, 5 minutes!). You can't go wrong with any of them! Also, let's talk about dining! If dining is something you wish to have prepaid, the
dining plan may be a good option, especially if you want to do table service meals or character meals. The Disney Dining Plan is typically what my family goes for, but if you prefer meals on the go, the Quick-Service Plan is a great choice.
I hope all of this information helps you begin your magical adventure of planning a vacation to Walt Disney World. Jena, thanks for stopping by again, and feel free to send any other questions to
me before your visit. From one Texan to another, you've got a friend in me!
Happy Planning!
Frances
