Hello Alison! How wonderful that you will have the opportunity to enjoy the
magic of the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort!
The
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is such a wonderful event. I love stopping by the
Holiday Kitchens to pick up some seasonal goodies to enjoy as I stroll World Showcase listening to the holiday storytellers relate the customs and traditions of their cultures. Speaking of strolling, how about a fun
Holiday Cookie Stroll?
For me, the absolute highlight of the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is the
Candlelight Processional. This incredible show features a celebrity narrator relating the story of the first Christmas, accompanied by an orchestra and mass choir. Each and every time I see this spectacular show, the beautiful music moves me to tears. No additional ticket is necessary to view the show; the Candlelight Processional is included with your admission to
Epcot. That being said, I do recommend a
Candlelight Processional Dining Package, which will guarantee you a seat. When arriving at
America Gardens Theatre for the show, you will see two lines forming. The queue for those with Dining Packages will be ushered into the theater first, and any remaining seats will be filled with Guests from the standby line. Some Guests do queue up an hour or more in advance, especially for some of the more popular celebrities. Since this is my very favorite holiday event, it is well worth it to me to purchase a Dining Package.
Alison, if you have the chance, visit
L'Artisan des Glaces to try my favorite holiday treat: Glace au Pain d’Epices - Gingerbread Ice Cream with Gingerbread Pieces. Delicious!
