Wanting to attend Animal Kingdom this Sunday but stay nearby on Saturday -- what's the recommended hotel nearby?

Jambo, Carly, and welcome to planDisney! As a fellow Floridian, I love being close enough to Walt Disney World Resort to go to the theme parks on a whim, but I live too far for day trips. It sounds like you might be in the same boat, so let's look at options for staying close to the magic.

My top tip is to stay at a Disney Resort Hotel because of the fabulous perks. You'll have complimentary bus service to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and you can enter the park 30 minutes before opening. Bell Services at most resorts will be happy to hold your luggage before and after your stay so that you can enjoy time in the parks. And being inside the Disney bubble is the best part of all!

While all Disney resorts offer unique theming and ambiance, you can't go wrong with a resort in the value category if you're looking for a quick and affordable trip. Disney's All-Star Resorts, typically the most budget-friendly, are conveniently close to Animal Kingdom. I have fond memories of my family's vacations at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort where my son and his dad would enjoy a game of football on the giant fields.

Please call Disney Resort Hotels Reservations as soon as possible to check pricing and availability, or you can book the resort of your choice online.

You can also check out the Good Neighbor Hotels in the area. Many of these hotels offer shuttle service to the theme parks and are within a few miles of Walt Disney World. While you may get more space for the money at one of these, I still recommend staying onsite for the proximity and ease of transportation.

Carly, I hope you have a WILD time at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park! Tell the meerkats I said hello; they're my favorites! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
